The Weekend with Family

So….I am having a hard time following the Captain Awesome birthday post. I have all these dumb ideas, but I don’t want to ruin my online reputation. LOL

Anyway, I want to say thanks to all those who sent greetings through my Facebook, Captain Awesome’s Facebook, Twitter, text messaging and email. Rest assured that Captain Awesome got all of them. I also want to express my utmost gratitude to those who celebrate him with me. I am overwhelmed by the fact that someone so young has touched so many lives in one way or another.

The weekend was amazing….we’re actually still working on it. I’ll save the details on a better post. I’m still at Ms B and Chef’s house and we have both sides of the family around. Sadly, though, most of the members of the other side of the family are still in the Philippines.

I can’t wait for them to be here. I’m really tired of being alone, especially at gatherings. I’m never dependent on Um, but I just never see myself as just Ms C anymore. I’m Ms C and Um, and Captain Awesome and Little Princess. And it’s very difficult being around family gatherings without them.

Another week is coming and, as always, I am hoping that we hear of an interview schedule from the National Visa Center already. I don’t know how much more I can take being away from them. So, if it isn’t too much to ask, maybe you can add this to your nightly prayers.

So, I better get back to the family gathering. I’ll write more about this weekend soon.
