The Week with Captain Awesome

Well, it’s nothing grand. The week was filled with ordinary days made extraordinary with non-stop talking since the airport. And he arrived exactly 7 days ago. LOL

It’s great to be hearing his husky binata voice and super contagious laughter. I know I miss all of them so so much, but it was when he hugged me at the airport that I realized how much I’ve been longing to see him specifically.

It’s great to be waking up for someone who is just in the next room. It’s very heartwarming to have hugs, kisses and love especially for me at such close proximity. I see how much he misses Um, though. This is the second time he’s ever been away from his dad. The first time was his two weeks vacation with me and Little HRH here in the US last October. He was okay then. I guess he knew he was going to be away for a vacation. And there was an exact date when he’s going to see Um again.

Since he got here, he’s been asking when Um is going to get his visa. Everyday. He utters every now and then, “I wish Daddy is here already.” He says that more often before he goes to sleep. You’ll know for sure that’s the first thing he prays for. It’s really heartbreaking, but also really sweet. A child’s heart is really full of the sincerest prayers.

I’m honestly tired of this situation. I want the normal family life. Long distance relationships are  hard. It’s even harder when there are children involved. And everyday, I feel a load of guilt for having my children put up with all this.
