The Beach
I’ve had that defunct 90’s girl band, All Saints’, Pure Shores on loop for a week or so now. I think I mentioned in a previous post that this is usually that time of the year when I was back in the Philippines that I’d be brewing up beach trips and making them happen. I miss the sun. I miss the sand. I miss the water.
I am a beach kind of person. Lucky for me, so is my husband, Um. I guess as a Cancer and a Pisces, we just always have to be close to our element.
Or, perhaps, being in a family of outdoor adventures people, Um was lucky to bag a Cancer for a wife. Well, it all works for the two of us, so, yay!
My sister, Ms B, refuses to go on a beach trip here because “the Atlantic Ocean is so cold”. Pfft. LOL Not knowing my way around and having very few friends over here, I think I’m pretty much at the mercy of Ms B’s travel preferences. That is why I am so hoping for Um and the kids to be here by the time summer unfolds on my side of the world. I can live with missing my typical tropical summer in the Philippines, but there’s no way I am missing it here.
I am envious of my friends’ Facebook photos with them all bathing and basking under the sun. My skin is already starting to reveal my real anemic color. I need my dose of UV rays!!!
