That’s REPRESENTATIVE Manny Pacquiao to You!
So, he won. The 7 world title holder wins another match. This time, though, the match didn’t take place in the ring.
It took a local dj for me to find out. It was almost 5 when we heard these two dj’s talking about this boxer who has brought so much pride to Filipinos around the world. Shortly after the other dj’s announcement, ridicule followed. Can you blame them? What, are Filipinos going to demand some sort of apology again for the insults? Come on!
If I had a dollar for every time Manny Pacquiao’s Congressional seat win came up in a conversation, I would have left the office filthy rich. I was, well, embarrassed. Those of you Filipinos who would hate me for saying this would be kidding yourselves. Seriously.

I don’t owe anyone to give him a chance. He has to prove his worth. I do have high respects for him as a great athlete. He has to earn my respect, though, for being a remarkable statesman.

I love the Philippines but I think we’re the only country that prefers celebrities such as actors, singers, sports icon even comediennes to run for public office. I have nothing against them it’s just that many of these celebrities-turned-public-officials still have not proven their worth yet many still re-elect them. Hay, sad but true.
Education is something the Filipinos need in order for them to get a better judgment on things.
yup! that’s what i’ve been telling my husband. if i get rich, i’ll put up schools in the phil and not give out cash or goods as donations. give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. teach a man how to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.
