Thank You for Smoking
I watched this movie years ago and loved it. I just had to get past the fact that Katie Holmes was in it. LOL. This reminds me, I have yet to read the novel.
Anyhoo, I saw this video most probably over a year ago being circulated on Facebook and I thought it was hilarious.
I have thought of quitting smoking a million times. I hated the stench it left my mouth, my clothes and my hair. I also spend half an hour gargling with whitening mouth wash and brushing my teeth with whitening toothpaste to, at least, control the stain it left my teeth.
Oh well. Anyway, I made a decision Friday afternoon. I quit smoking. I had my last stick, not knowing it was my last, after breakfast the same day.
Cold turkey.
I have gone to different stores with the purpose of buying a pack of cigarettes only to end up going home empty-handed. I didn’t think I had so much self-control.
I’m so proud of me.
The challenge is actually not about the urge to light up a stick. It’s the urge to munch on something. Must. Resist. Or…give in, but burn all the calories out. Good luck to me.
