No Mental Picture Required

With less than a month to go for our trip…OMG it is less than a month… I’m really starting to pack. Well, not exactly putting my stuff in my luggages yet but listing them all down, ordering things as necessary, especially ordering euros, and just making sure where things are.
Two of the things we have to make sure are ready are our DSLR cameras. Chef and I take a lot of pictures. On our trip to Spain last year, we had 6000 pictures, and that was when we only had one DSLR. Imagine what with two! To prepare it, we ensure our SD cards are free, well, we make sure we have our SD cards, we clean our lenses, polarizers and filters, we have our Pacsafe anti-theft straps, and we make sure all batteries and chargers are working.
We’ve made good (and sizeable) investments for our equipments and we’ve been traveling a lot but what I don’t quite have is camera insurance. I mean, do any of you have it? I’m going to ask my wedding photographer if he invested on that because he for sure has the best equipments out there and he of course travels with them. He was wheeling it around all over San Francisco when we did our pre-nup shoot. And this is probably around $15,000 worth of equipments. Would you insure those if that’s how much you’ve spent already? I think I would. It also depends on the price of the insurance. I think I just might look into that.
I try to capture everything I see, because sometimes, mental pictures just won’t do (especially mental pictures with no flash LOL). Maybe it’s tine for me to look into insuring my equipments. Or maybe I’ll wait to spend more on equipments and then I’ll insure them.
