Quite similar to my love for the French culture is my curiosity for the British monarchy. This started when I studied world literature. From Jane Austen and Emily Bronte, romance in the English countryside of men and women with ranks and titles. And how I love period films. So, I just watched The Young Victoria, simply the sovereign who reigned the longest in the UK. What I love about this film is that it’s a story of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The woman and the man not behind her, but beside her. And don’t we just love such romance. Those who have found the ones they wish to spend the rest of their lives with know of this romance – commoner or queen. More than this romance is love so strong that it takes one to new places.

The other day, Chef and I were talking about our excitement for our upcoming trip. We have been fortunate enough to travel to places we dreamed of over the past couple of years. We agreed that though perhaps one way or another, we independently would probably accomplish our dreams. But, we know that us being with each other has taken us to such great heights that this journey is truly about who’s there next to you. Chef has brought me to a different place in my life, in mind, in heart, and even that which is worldly. And this song honors that.
