Music and Lyrics: I’m A Slave 4 U – Britney Spears

I blame it on Glee. Never did I imagine that I would blog about Britney. But in all honesty, I respect her as a dancer. In this video, well, this was of course her glory days – to state the obvious. Hot career, hot body, and well, she was dating Justin Timberlake (just ignore the hot pink underwear over the jeans). When I heard on Oprah that she did 1000 sit-ups a day, I thought, man, that is discipline, which was probably how she got to the top anyway. I won’t go on because I won’t diss her on the same post that I’m admiring her. Though I am not really a fan and I have never liked her voice, she was a fabulous dancer and you and I know it. Kudos to Brittany S. Pierce on Glee on her performances last night. That girl can dance too! For the record, I think the lyrics of the song are truly not the best. But what I appreciate is the music video and the beat. So maybe for that, we can omit the “lyrics” in tonight’s Music and Lyrics. Hope this takes you all back to 2001!!
