Music and Lyrics: Angel – Jack Johnson

Who doesn’t love Jack Johnson? I mean come on, those awesome lyrics, fabulous voice, and he’s a surfer dude. No but really, he’s one of my favorites because he’s my kind of lyricist – and by my kind of lyricist I mean the Dave Matthews kind of lyricist. So, his (or their – with Dave) are those songs that either describe exactly what I mean or so descriptive that you just want them to be sung of you or for you.

Angel is one of my faves from the Sleep Through the Static album. This was sung at our wedding by our trusted host (and Um on the guitar). This is one of those that you would just love to be dedicated to you. But really, this is a song for Chef. He’s my angel.
