Blinks: Up, Up and Away

Instagram has been quite an obsession as well as all those post-processing apps out there. This picture is one of the first pictures that I have posted on Instagram. Thankfully, I woke up when I heard this loud blowing noise that I thought was coming from the home constructions down the street. I hurried to look out the window and saw 3 hot air balloons coming towards me. I captured this as it was flying over our backyard.

Chef and I have always wanted to try to go on a hot air balloon, and the ones here in Napa are relatively affordable at about $150 per person. However, a few years ago, I saw a challenge winner on Survivor win a prize to go on a hot air balloon overlooking the African wildlife. I feel that that is what I’d like to go on a hot air balloon for rather than the vineyards nearby. Nonetheless, we might still go and try it when winter is over just because a trip to Africa may not be as feasible as a 12-minute drive to Napa.
