Blinks: Hope

In the twenty-something years of my life, I have had one too many pitfalls, one too many setbacks, one too many failures. One too many disappointments, one too many heartaches.
Yet, you’ll never see me beaten. You’ll see me shaken up and all, but never beaten.
Because I am madly in love with hope.
Instead, you’ll find me standing, smiling happily, thanking the heavens for the simple everyday blessings. Attitude does make a lot of difference.
No, it’s not the “life is more painless for the brainless” type. Inside the happy, smiling me is a mind that is constantly thinking, analyzing – gearing up to take the extra step, panning out for the extra angle and formulating the extra question to solve whatever problem at hand. Inside the happy, smiling me is a heart that is uttering prayers.
I fight my everyday battles with an arsenal of strategies, support and courage. But I never set forth to the field without believing in the promise that a rainbow is set to come out after a storm. I am never without hope.
