All that Identity Hoopla
I take personal information seriously. I guess that is because both Faja and I have been victimized by identity theft. I may not have lost as much as he had, but still. Every dollar counts!
But, quite honestly, I have not done anything to actually do any identity theft protection. Well, other than shred everything with my name address and anything identifiable to me before I throw them out. I also drop mail enclosed with checks off the post office when I could just conveniently put them in the mailbox where the postman can pick up. Something tells me, though, that my so-called measures are not enough. Especially since our website (yes, this website) was hacked just days ago. Luckily, we were able to resolve it – at least, that is what it seems right now and is precisely what we would want to believe.
Hackers and identity thieves out there are getting more and more creative in getting what they want. That means, we can never be complacent. One has got to be paranoid than sorry when it comes to protecting his or her identity. I have heard people speak of IdentityHawk before, so I am starting to read up on it. I must admit, I am not very good in hunting products and services for these matters. Hopefully, IdentityHawk can help me keep my identity from being stolen.
Can you believe the world can be this unsafe?
