What’s Up, Alberta?
I have to admit, I just finished reading all about Ms B’s trip to Canada last summer, and it reminded me of my friend from Alberta, Apple, whom I was able to catch up with last year during her quick vacation in California. It had been 14 years since we last saw each other. Needless to say, we had a lot of things to catch up on. From life after high school, college boys, job hunting, migrating to new countries, and, well, adult stuff like neighborhood hunting and Calgary houses for rent.
It was amazing how our conversations shifted from one topic to another. It was even more amazing how we managed to keep the atmosphere light even when we talked about serious matters. At one point, I remember her telling me about how different the vibe is in her current city from what we grew up with. And so, the Curious George in me started reading about living in Alberta.
In my research, I found that Alberta is a pretty nice place to live in and, according to Apple, has plenty of job opportunities sprouting here and there. One place in Alberta that totally got my attention is Calgary.

The pictures I found of Calgary are so inviting that I just had to read more about it: neighborhoods, public school system, professional development and so on. Although I am happy with where I am right now and that if I ever move again, it will be somewhere in Europe, but you will never know what the future holds. It is always nice to be informed to keep your options open, right?
